Math Science Magnet (MSM)
Established 1981

The Math/Science Magnet program offers a rigorous and stimulating curriculum designed for the gifted and academically talented in English, social sciences, mathematics, and science.
Students in the Math/Science Magnet follow a rigorous college-bound academic program, including a requirement of four years of math and four years of science courses. The academic program provides for college-bound students by offering honors level as well as Advanced Placement courses in more than 20 topics. Under the Los Angeles Unified School Districts voluntary integration program, the MSM enrolls approximately 430 students. Last year 80% of graduating senior Magnet students indicated that they planned to attend 4 year colleges.
