Student Identification Cards
Students must carry a Narbonne High School identification card while on campus. Student ID cards will be required for all student activities on or off campus throughout the school year.
ID photos are taken during pre-registration days. The Deans’ Office schedules make-up days periodically. Days and times are announced in the bulletin. There is no charge to new students. There is a $5.00 fee for all replacements. See the deans for additional information.
Detaining Pupils
Do not take or keep a student from another teacher’s class unless you have the prior written approval of the teacher.
A teacher wishing to detain a pupil after school for additional help in the subject or for disciplinary action must notify parents at least one day in advance. Students may not be detained during nutrition or lunch periods.
Special Reports to Parents
These reports can be classified in three categories: Complimentary, Unsatisfactory, and Failure. It is recommended that complimentary reports be utilized as frequently as failure notices. Notices are available in the Counseling Office.
Lockers
Lockers will be issued to new students during the opening of the school term. Every effort is made for students to keep the same lockers throughout their school career. Due to the growing student enrollment, it is possible that all students may not receive a locker in their ninth grade year.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found is located in the Student Store. Items may be claimed during nutrition, lunch and after school. Teachers are not to excuse students during the instructional time to look for lost items.
Tutoring
Teachers may not tutor Narbonne students for financial consideration outside the scope of the District funding. Individual tutoring of students is encouraged for all teachers to assist struggling students. School wide tutoring is also available after school through the Perkins Program. Please check posted bulletins for information.
Gifts
Teachers may not exchange or accept gifts from students.
Student Store
The Student Store will be open each day before school, during nutrition, during lunch, and after school until 3:15. Encourage students to buy their school supplies and book covers from the Student Store as our student body profits from the sale. A variety of spirit items are also available for purchase.
Off-Campus Lunch Permits
Off-campus lunch permits are not issued to students. We are a closed campus. Any student leaving the school at lunchtime does not have a period five or six class.
