LEARN/School Leadership Council
The LEARN/School Leadership Council was established several years ago as the decision-making body for Narbonne High School. All stakeholder groups—students, parents, teacher, administrators, classified staff and community members—are represented on the Council. The LEARN/ School Leadership Council reaches decisions by consensus. The Council meets on the second Tuesday of each month, to make decisions about items brought forth by LEARN committees (see below) or items of concern to the school community. Elections are held each year by and for members of each stakeholder group. Interest in membership on the committee should be referred to the UTLA Chapter Chair. The LEARN/School Leadership Council consists of:
LEARN COMMITTEES Several standing and ad hoc LEARN committees meet either monthly or as needed to formulate suggested policy to be presented to the Council for approval. All committees come to decisions by consensus. Membership on committees is on a volunteer basis. Some committees, because of the importance of time considerations, do not need approval from the LEARN/School Leadership Council (for example the Personnel Selection committee) Standing Committees include:
