Bulletin Notices
The weekly bulletin is placed in teachers’ mailboxes by Monday morning.Staff members who wish to make announcements should give these to the Assistant Principal in charge by Thursday morning for inclusion in the following Monday’s bulletin. All notices concerning student activities must have the signature of the sponsor.

Public Address System
The public address system is for regular daily announcements. No unauthorized person may use the public address system. All emergency announcements must have the specific approval of the principal. Forms are available in the office of the assistant principal

Forms must be submitted prior to 1:00 p.m. on the day prior to the requested broadcast day and must bear the requesting staff member’s signature.Notices without the signature of the sponsor and the signature of the assistant principal in charge of the P.A. will not be read.

Notices should affect a large number of students, should use the minimum number of words necessary to convey the information, and should tell what, when, where, and the price of the activity.

Announcements are made at the beginning of period 2, which is ten minutes longer than the other classes for this purpose.

Television Broadcast System
The TV Digital Film Club creates school news segments for our TV Broadcast System. These segments air on selected Fridays in place of the P.A. announcements during period 2.

Classroom Interruptions
It is the policy at Narbonne High to keep all classroom interruptions at a minimum. “At once” on office summons slips will be circled only in an urgent situation.DO NOT DELAY SENDING THESE STUDENTS TO THE OFFICE.For routine matters, “During” on an office summons will be circled, and teachers may send the students at a convenient time during the period indicated, when it will cause the least interference with the educational progress of the class. However, teachers are requested not to delay sending students until the close of the period, which might cause problems with part-time teacher/counselor personnel.

Only administrators, counselors, deans, administrative assistants, health office and library personnel are authorized to summons students. At no time should another classroom teacher summon students from a classroom.
