My name is Sara Aiello. I have been part of the Narbonne community since October 17, 2005. I support student learning in all of my duties. I oversee the faculty’s professional development plan, the Special Education, English, and ESL Departments, the Title 1 Program, the school calendar, and the ABLE Small Learning Community. Along with these specific responsibilities, I collaborate with the administrative team in providing campus supervision to maintain a positive school environment.
I grew up in the south bay area and began my education at LAUSD as a Language Learner. Like many of our English Learner students, I experienced frustration and failure in the school system. It wasn’t until high school, when I was inspired by several gifted teachers who took a personal interest in my success, that I began to excel academically. This experience motivated me to become an English and ESL teacher, a literacy coach, and ultimately, an administrator.
As the mother of two high school boys, I understand the challenges of parenting in today’s complex world. I am here for the students, the sole purpose of this entire institution, and I will work with all of the stakeholders to support their academic, emotional, and social development.
You can’t miss my office. It’s the second door to the right after you enter through the front door. Please come and see me if you need anything or just want to say hello.
